Planning for Final Task: Scripts

Opening Sequence (Shooting)
Scene 1
- Camera focuses on Allura and Jackson playing in the scene
- Nondiegetic sound (soft, happy music)
- Camera turns to Georgia, who is in the back watching suspiciously
- Nondiegetic sound (dark suspenseful music) 

Scene 2
- Allura confronts Georgia and asks her to be the godmother of her son
- Georgia happily accepts the offer 
- Georgia and Allura hug
- Georgia does an evil smirk while embracing Allura

Scene 3
- Allura is home alone when she is surprised by Georgia’s visit 
- Allura is home alone when she is surprised by Georgia’s visit 
- Allura is questioning her visit and wonders why she has that in her hand 
- Georgia approaches Allura and whacks her in the head
- Allura collapses on the floor 
- Georgia drags her body into the bathroom
- Georgia turns on the water in the bathtub
- Georgia puts Allura in the bathtub
- Georgia drowns Allura in the bathtub until she is no longer breathing








Scene 4
- Georgia writes a suicide note that is supposed to be from Allura 
- Georgia places the suicide note on the bed
- On the back of the note, in big letters writes "I'm sorry"

Scene 5
- Georgia heads back to her house with the hammer
- Georgia plants the hammer in the backyard

Scene 6
- Georgia is called to the police station to be interrogated by the detectives
- The detectives and Georgia are alone in the room
- The detective questions Georgia
- Georgia does her best to shift any suspicion from her 

Scene 7
- Allura's dead body is lying in the morgue 
- The autopsy reporter notices that the back of her head has blunt force trauma 
- They realize that something bigger might have happened to Alura

Scene 8
- Georgia and Jackson visit Allura's funeral
- They are crying and grieving
- Georgia comforts Jackson and lets him know she will take good care of him
- Georgia reveals herself as the killer when the camera focuses on her. 

Scene 9
- Georgia receives a knock at her door
- It's from a detective working on Allura's house 
- He informs her the case is ruled now as a homicide
- He also informs Georgia she is now a suspect 
- Georgia has a worried look on her face
- Georgia quickly defends her case
- The detective notices this suspicion and lets her know its protocol
- The detective leaves and now thinks Georgia knows more than she is telling

Scene 10

Non-diegetic : (Worried music)

-Georgia is now concerned for her protection 

-She is quickly ready to make an escape 

-She packs up her bags along with Jackson’s 

-Diegetic: She lets Jackson know that she and he will finally be together forever

-This reveals Georgia’s ultimate plan 

-Lighting: normal; dim lighting 


Scene 11

-The police now have a search warrant to go through Georgia’s house

-The police approach Georgia’s door

-Diegetic: They want her to open up

-There is no answer on the other side of the door

-Diegetic: The police bust down Georgia’s door

-Diegetic: They search through everything

-The detective looks through the backyard

-He notices an odd patch of grass

-He digs and finds the murder weapon

-Diegetic: The police tell the detective that Georgia is nowhere to be found, along with Allura’s son

-Non-Diegetic: (Dramatic Music)

-Lighting: Outdoor/dim lighting, in and out of the house




Opening Sequence: (Dialogue and Sound)
Scene 1
- No dialogue 

Scene 2
- Georgia: OMG! It would be an honor, are you sure?
- Allura: Of course! You’ve been my best friend for almost 15 years, and Jackson loves you
- Georgia: I’m so excited to be his godmother!

Scene 3 
- Georgia: Hey!
-Georgia: What are you doing with that- 

- {Bonk!} 
- {Water slushing around}

Scene 4
- No dialogue 

Scene 5 
- No dialogue 

Scene 6 
- Detective: Do you have any idea why she would do this to herself?
- {hysterically crying} No! I don’t know why she would leave us!     

- Georgia: Her poor son! He’s going to be devastated!   

Scene 7
- {Georgia and Jackson sobbing}
- Georgia: It’s ok Jackson, (sniffles), we’re going to be just fi

Scene 8
- Autopsy Reporter: OH MY GOD!

Scene 9
- (Knock at door)
- Detective: Hello Georgia, we must inform you that Allura's suicide case has been ruled as a homicide
- Detective: I am also here to inform you that you've been ruled as a suspect. 
- Georgia: Are you serious!
- Georgia: I would never even think of hurting my best friend!
- Detective: We don't want you to take this personal, everyone in her life is being questioned

Scene 10
- (zipping up bags)
- Jackson: Georgie where are we going? 
- Georgia: Jackson relax! We're going somewhere safe
- Georgia: It's finally just going to be the two of us 

Scene 11
- (aggressively banging on doors)
- Police: Open up! We have a search warrant
- (Loud thump)
- (Searching noises)
- Detective: I found the weapon! Where is she?
Police: She's gone.

  Before: Once I finished filming and made sure I had all my scenes and looked back at them to make sure I was happy with them. I also deleted any extra videos saved in my camera roll that was not going to be used. Now, I started my editing process. During: During my editing process I officially sat down and began working on my commercial. The editing software that I used was Cute Cut Pro. I added the first scene of my commercial and cut up any extra time. Then, I added the next scene and made sure that the transition was clean and not choppy. I noticed that already with my first two scenes, my commercial was already 14 seconds. I felt like I needed to cut it up more. I tried to make it so each scene added up to 5 seconds. Once I finished adding my other scenes I added the rest of my scenes and again made sure they transitioned smoothly. Editing Blog for my Music Video

 Before: Now that my partner and I finished filming all our scenes we began editing. At this point, we had realized the mistake that we had made. We forgot that we needed to film our video horizontally and not vertically. We couldn't go back and retake the scenes because it was already dark outside.  During: When I was younger I would make random edits of my favorite celebrities and influencers. Because of this I already had some minor experience with using editing software. I did most of the editing but my partner was the creative director behind it. The first part was picking a good part of the song to use for our music video. I went on Youtube and Suzie suggested using the part of the song where there is less singing because it would fit better with our video. We did just that and got the 30 seconds of the song we needed. The software we used to edit is Cute Cut Pro, I've used this software multiple times because it is so easy to use and makes editing so much more enjoyabl...

Lip-gloss Commercial Blog

 Youtube Link:  https://youtu.be/m8puPEq23A4     My overall experience with this commercial project was great. I really love the product I chose, I use it often and think its a great lip-gloss. When it comes to production, I enjoyed the way I filmed my project and edited it. I think it really represents who I am and the passion I have for makeup and beauty. The filming was pretty smooth and enjoyable. Editing was also fun, after I figured out home to do transitions and how to make my commercial the right length. I wish I would have incorporated all the aspects that I had on my storyboard and in my head into my commercial. However, I had limited time and wasn't able to fully create the commercial I wanted to. However, I am still very proud of what I created and think it's really close to what I intended it to be. My other concern is that I wish there were more details provided on the requirements of the project. I wasn't aware of many things but luckily I still w...
