Final Task

Image
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzk-H87blkg    Overall, this experience was really fun and I would do it all over again. I thought I would be more stressed since this is our final task but the process was really easy. I really love how our video turned out. We did everything we wanted and correctly.

Final Details for Final Task

In the last blog, I talked about the final tasks in our editing process. We had already put all of our clips together. We recorded and inserted our voiceovers. We added music and sounds. Finally, added our titles. This was my favorite part of the editing process because I could use my creativity. Also, it was so easy to use the app that I worked on. Like I've mentioned before, Cute Cut Pro is the software I use. Very easy to use and perfect for projects like these. The process was actually not hard but mostly time-consuming. Also, we wanted everything to be perfect. That's why we put all of our attention towards this project. It was so good though when we finally finished. Especially since we have been working on this project for many weeks. We watched it many times to make sure we got everything done correctly. All we need to do now is publish it on YouTube. This is so we can upload it directly into blogger. Then, all we need to do is out CCR. The CCR is where I will talk

Editing: Titles

Image
It's getting down to the very fast final steps of this final task. We have done so much and we are really happy with what we have done. So far in the process, we have filmed at all the locations we needed to. We then began our editing process. Now I will be speaking on the last touches that we did during our editing process. Like I said before we had quite a few things that we needed to do. Our main focus was to make no mistakes. We filmed our voiceovers and my partner integrated them into our video. Using the software iMovie, which she seems to work better on. She also added diegetic and non-diegetic sounds. As well as the music needed to be in the video. Along that any other sound effects. She then sent the video back to me where I added in all of our title scenes. The software I used was Cute Cut Pro, which I've used multiple times before. I really enjoy it because of how simple it is to use. When adding the titles it was relieving to see that the font we wanted was there

Second Scene Editing

Our first scene was filmed at a local park near my house. We filmed here the clip where Allura and Jackson are enjoying time together. As well as the clip where Allura asks Georgia to be Jackson's godmother. Now, I will be talking about the second location that we filmed and the editing process. The second location was my house, where we filmed the rest of the clips. The one where Allura receives an unusual surprise from Georgia. We already put all of our clips together and added a few transitions. Now we wanted to focus on doing our voiceovers to get that other with. I went to the quietest place in my house. This was so no background noise was picked up. I pulled up the script right beside me and began recording. Only had to retake a few times because there was a little background noise picked up or I accidentally messed up. My partner was responsible for adding the voiceovers and other sounds. She will be using iMovie as her editing software. I've personally never used iM

First Scene Editing

We completed the filming process for the final task. Our first scene was filmed at a local park near my house. There were about 4 clips for our first scene. Each clip was a couple seconds long. The first 3 were of Jackson and Allura playing at the park. We combined these together and added them to about 30 seconds. This was our goal because we needed each set of clips to be 30 seconds. For it in the end to be the 2 minutes. The next clip was of Allura asking Georgia to be the godmother. This clip is about 10 seconds, not very long. It was filmed at the park as well. Making this all one scene. About 45 seconds long in total. For this editing process, I will be using the same editing app as before. I've used this app when working on the commercial project as well as the music video. It's simply a great app to use because it has everything you need and easy to understand. The other software we will be using is iMovie. iMovie is a great software and we will use it mainly for addi

Home Filming Blog

In our last blog, we talked about our filming process at the park. Now we are going to talk about our second filming location. This is my house, here is where we filmed most of the scenes for the 2-minute introduction. We began as early as we could. However, time did not really matter here since we were inside. Unlike the park where it was necessary for us to arrive during the daytime to ensure we get good lighting for the movie. The first thing was we made sure we have all the props that we needed. This included the hammer, note, bracelet, and ext. Next, we touched ourselves up. We had an outfit change because theoretically in the movie these would be different days. Lastly, we re-read our script to make sure everything ran smoothly. Filming at home felt like it would be easier and it was for the most part. We really didn't have to refilm that much. Only with certain scenes. Since Jackson would not be seen in the rest of the 2 minutes, that made our life easier. Her little br
