Starting the Final Task

   My name is Fatima Faya and I am 17 years old. I attend Fort Lauderdale High School. Currently a Junior with only a couple months left in the year. So far I've loved being in this Media Studies class. I have learned so many things about creating projects. However, my favorite thing has been learning about marketing. Especially how companies collaborate to benefit both parties. Cross-promotion was a really interesting topic to learn about and all the examples we were given. Really excited for Senior year but also nervous because Covid is still clearly a big problem. As much as I wanna go back to physical school to see friends, safety always should come first. Hopefully, we are all vaccinated by August and we can go back to school safely. Being in physical school is important because most of us are lacking social interaction. For this final task project, I will be working with my best friend and former project worker, Suzie Louis. We worked on the commercial project and had a little trouble. We know what to improve on. We work great together even though sometimes we do make mistakes. Nonetheless, she's a great person to work with because we think alike. We live only 5 minutes away from each other. That's great because we can plan to film anytime and it won't be a struggle. We've known each other since middle school so our parents are totally fine with us working together on this project. We share the same ideas and already came up with a great idea for our final task. We're both really excited to share our ideas with Cambridge and make a really great movie scene.

  Before: Once I finished filming and made sure I had all my scenes and looked back at them to make sure I was happy with them. I also deleted any extra videos saved in my camera roll that was not going to be used. Now, I started my editing process. During: During my editing process I officially sat down and began working on my commercial. The editing software that I used was Cute Cut Pro. I added the first scene of my commercial and cut up any extra time. Then, I added the next scene and made sure that the transition was clean and not choppy. I noticed that already with my first two scenes, my commercial was already 14 seconds. I felt like I needed to cut it up more. I tried to make it so each scene added up to 5 seconds. Once I finished adding my other scenes I added the rest of my scenes and again made sure they transitioned smoothly. Editing Blog for my Music Video

 Before: Now that my partner and I finished filming all our scenes we began editing. At this point, we had realized the mistake that we had made. We forgot that we needed to film our video horizontally and not vertically. We couldn't go back and retake the scenes because it was already dark outside.  During: When I was younger I would make random edits of my favorite celebrities and influencers. Because of this I already had some minor experience with using editing software. I did most of the editing but my partner was the creative director behind it. The first part was picking a good part of the song to use for our music video. I went on Youtube and Suzie suggested using the part of the song where there is less singing because it would fit better with our video. We did just that and got the 30 seconds of the song we needed. Lip-gloss Commercial Blog

 Youtube Link:  https://youtu.be/m8puPEq23A4     My overall experience with this commercial project was great. I really love the product I chose, I use it often and think its a great lip-gloss. When it comes to production, I enjoyed the way I filmed my project and edited it. I think it really represents who I am and the passion I have for makeup and beauty. The filming was pretty smooth and enjoyable. Editing was also fun, after I figured out home to do transitions and how to make my commercial the right length. I wish I would have incorporated all the aspects that I had on my storyboard and in my head into my commercial. However, I had limited time and wasn't able to fully create the commercial I wanted to. However, I am still very proud of what I created and think it's really close to what I intended it to be.
