Lip-gloss Filming Blog
Before: The first thing I did before beginning my filming process was getting everything set up. I got out all my props ready and set them where they needed to be. I also got myself ready, put on my makeup, and a simple white shirt.
During: Now that everything was set-up I began filming. After each scene, I looked back at the video and made sure I was happy with it. If, not I reset my props and filmed it once more. I did this until I got the perfect scene. When it came to filming myself in the mirror, I realized it was very difficult to film myself without having the camera in the mirror. I tried many different angles until I was satisfied and felt like you could see me clearly. I also realized how important lighting is. There were some times where the lighting shifted and had to wait until the sun came out again through my window. When it came to filming a close up of the lipgloss on myself, it was also hard to get a right angle. Once I did, getting the camera in the right position was hard. I don't have a tripod so I needed to find a way to get the camera to stand up. Eventually, I found some objects and used them to place my camera on. Again lighting was an issue but I used my LED mirror and the quality was great. However, there were scenes that were very fun to film, especially the ones where I was applying the product on myself. As well as the ones where I could show off the product. Overall the process was great even though there were
some challenges I had t face.
After: Once being fully satisfied with all of my scenes and looked back to make sure it was enough to work with, I began my editing process.
