Planning for my lip-gloss commercial

 Props: Props I will be using is of course the lipgloss I am promoting, as it will be seen/used in all scenes. Other props I will be using is a LED white mirror to showcase the product, not only the packaging but also showing the application on my lips. I will be using a white table to showcase the product mostly, showing the product from different angles. I will also be using water to show that the lipgloss is waterproof. As well as a piece of paper to show that the product is smudge resistant and leaves no residue. 





Costumes: I will most likely be showing my face but I will wear a plain white shirt to make sure the focus is on the lipgloss and to make the commercial look more simplistic and clean. I will also be wearing light makeup on the rest of my face to make sure the lipgloss is the statement piece. 



Schedule: I will be filming the commercial during the daytime to ensure I have the best lighting possible. I will begin filming next week, Friday the 30th of October. I will most likely start filing early that afternoon and finish the same day. I won't need to go anywhere, since I will be filming the commercial in my house. 

Set: I will be filming most of the commercials in my room, where there is bright lighting. That is where I have my white table and my LED mirror. Some scenes will be filmed in my bathroom, in my larger mirror. Most will take place on my vanity, where the LED mirror is located and the white table. All backgrounds will be mostly white and simplistic. 

Location: The location of where the commercial will be filmed is in my house, most specifically my bedroom and bathroom. 

Additional Elements: I will invite my friend over to wear the lipgloss as well. She will also be wearing a simple, white shirt. The reason is to show the lipgloss on different skin tones. 

Backup Plan: My backup plan is, for example, if it rains the whole day, and the lighting in my room isn't great to work with. I will reschedule to film on a day when it's not raining and ensure the lightning for my commercial is the best possible. If my friend is not able to come over and film, I will ask another one of my friends/family members to help me out.

  Before: Once I finished filming and made sure I had all my scenes and looked back at them to make sure I was happy with them. I also deleted any extra videos saved in my camera roll that was not going to be used. Now, I started my editing process. During: During my editing process I officially sat down and began working on my commercial. The editing software that I used was Cute Cut Pro. I added the first scene of my commercial and cut up any extra time. Then, I added the next scene and made sure that the transition was clean and not choppy. Editing Blog for my Music Video

 Before: Now that my partner and I finished filming all our scenes we began editing. At this point, we had realized the mistake that we had made. We forgot that we needed to film our video horizontally and not vertically. We couldn't go back and retake the scenes because it was already dark outside.  During: When I was younger I would make random edits of my favorite celebrities and influencers. Because of this I already had some minor experience with using editing software. I did most of the editing but my partner was the creative director behind it. The first part was picking a good part of the song to use for our music video. I went on Youtube and Suzie suggested using the part of the song where there is less singing because it would fit better with our video. We did just that and got the 30 seconds of the song we needed. When it comes to production, I enjoyed the way I filmed my project and edited it. I think it really represents who I am and the passion I have for makeup and beauty. The filming was pretty smooth and enjoyable. Editing was also fun, after I figured out home to do transitions and how to make my commercial the right length. I wish I would have incorporated all the aspects that I had on my storyboard and in my head into my commercial. However, I had limited time and wasn't able to fully create the commercial I wanted to. However, I am still very proud of what I created and think it's really close to what I intended it to be.
